Hello again! I'm back, to report that I've graduated from poly(with an above-average GPA, or so it says on the result slip) and will be enlisting to Pulau Tekong on the 7th of this coming July. Hmm... Wonder how will it turn out?

But for the moment, it's all about the upcoming FOC. Programme Committee rocks! With the terrific leadership of Mommy, Eric and the ever-charismatic Prince Ali of Babua with his reliable Tongkat, our committee is the most happening. Best team ever! Wonder when is Raj is going to come-to-come-to join us...

So just a few days ago, we had our FOC Mentor Training Camp. I say it was quite fun. Setting up of the "Haunted House" and all. It was like the Programme Committe main event in this camp, so everyone was doing their part in preparing it. Seriously, I don't think it was possible if everyone had not help one another. We also received help from some people from Facilitator and Admin committee. And of course, Logistics too, for buying some of the stuffs for us. Nice! =)

Here are a few pics during the Night Walk session during the camp:

Meet the hottest new male model of Muslim clothing line, Hejab Iran. Imam can be funky too!

We finally caught the ghost that haunts our Chinese Opera stage!

Fahmi trying to be scary.
It looks like a cross between famous horror icon Freddy Krueger and Power Rangers Dino Thunder main villain, to me.

Coming back home after a late night fatal road accident...

Patrick trying his best to be scary. LOL!

The rest of the misfits.

Who's that?

Boo! Crappy quality due to shaky hands and the darkness. :(

A better picture of our main actress. One of my favourite pictures! If she was the real one, I don't ever want to meet her... *shivers*

For a better quality version of all the pictures posted above and more, just ask me on MSN. Cya! ;-)

So I was walking around last Friday after school. Greg wanted to buy some hair wax, so we accompanied him to Guardian. But look at what we found:

Nu-Hair! Promises to regain back your loss hair, IN 60 SECONDS! Not inspired by the movie, Gone In 60 Seconds, this product I say, is a failure. If it had stated that you can grow back your hair in 60 weeks or months, people would have believe it. But 60 seconds? Even David Copperfield can't pull it off!

YC doing an impersonation of the man on the cover of that Nu-Hair product. And it is obvious that he failed miserably, just like the product itself. He just ended up looking like a Chinaman.

And so, while I was waiting for the bus to go home, I saw this:

Look familiar? Look again.

What in the freaking hell, are Raj and Mac doing in this ad?! LOL!

And that's it for now. I'll be back for more lame-ass action next time. Cya! ;-)

Happy Chinese New Year to all those of you who are celebrating it! And Happy New Year for all those Muslims too, for 1st of Muharram is next Tuesday! =)

Here are the pics/vids I took with my handphone for last week's TP Open House 3rd Day:
http://www.freewebs.com/rayx/OH06-3.zip

I was too lazy to upload all of them one by one, so I just zipped them all up. But I'll just post up one good picture for you all. Sadly, not everyone was in it, including me, who was taking this picture. :(

Testing my new handphone during the Temasek Polytechnic Open House 2006, which starts today.

I was assigned to the same job as last year: The lobby job. Only difference is that I was a normal E-guide last year, whereas this year I'm a mentor. Promoted! LOL! As you can see from the above picture, everyone is bored. What are those 2 guys in the background doing?

So due to boredom, these 2 guys tried to do some modelling. Look at how engrossed they were in dressing up themselves...

Ta-da! The final product! Hunks from TP Engineering strutting their hot bods.

Busy time has started. Modelling has taken a back seat. It's time to entertain guests!

So I was browsing thru the TP's openhouse mag, and guess what I saw? Fabian! He's our model student for my course, Computer Engineering, this year! Would you look at him? So fierce!!!

It seems that Fabian has "All The Right Moves". Sleeping during lessons, are all good moves. So people, sleep your way to success in TP!

The police has arrived... And they're picking up a fight!

Nah.. They just want some love.
From left: Jeremy, Mac and Fairdaus.

Nick and Greg doing prank calls on some innocent young man, while waiting for the debrief to start. Conversation was on loudspeaker on a mic, so that the whole lecture theatre can hear. Looks like they're having lots of fun!

One last meeting after the long debrief.

Finally! The day is over! Chee Wee(sitting down) feeling mightily orgasmic.

Let's hope tomorrow will be another fun day. Hope my technical presentation goes well too! Ciao people! ;-)

Damn it, man! The Major Project judging has yet to come, but I'm already feeling down. Got to know my OS term test results yesterday, and I got the lowest marks: 13/50! This is definititely, my worst result I got in my life in TP. Lots of mistakes for my Gantt Chart. Need more practice! No. Need LOTS of practice. I cannot make stupid careless mistakes already. Fuck it, man! I'll make sure I score for my exams!

I just got home, when my mom told me that one of my cousins was in critical condition in the ICU. In less than an hour later, my mom received another call from my aunt, informing her that my cousin has just passed away. :(

It is fast. And it will come without warning. That is what you call, death. Serious man! I don't know how my cousin's family is handling it. He, who is about 20 years older than me, left behind a wife and 3 children. How will they cope, I wonder? Hmm....

Haiz... No mood to party already. Besides the above mentioned, my mom's sick too. She can faint easily now, and this has been going on for about 3 weeks already. It's the reason I can't really go home that late during weekdays, cos there is no one to look after her at night. Doctors said it's not high-blood pressure nor low-blood pressure. They said she's just under stress. WTF?!

Haiz... And Major Project is still killing me, with all its report writing and presentation preparations. ....

Another optical illusion.

Now if you look at the above picture, the face on the left looks angry whereas the one of the right has a calm face. Now take a few steps back. You'll noticed that those 2 faces has switched places! =)

So me and Amir did something unusual yesterday... No, it was this morning. We walked from City Hall all the way to Khatib area(or is it Yio Chu Kang? I'm not sure, but it's somewhere in the middle between those 2 places. At the Seletar Reservoir there... ). Actually we were planning to walk right up to our house, but due to time-constraint(I had to reach home by 7am) and tired legs, we didn't complete it. I think if we had started at midnight or so, we could have reach our place by around 7am. But we started quite late: 3am. Haha! It was quite an experience. Quite fun too! Next time, it'll be better. =)

When we reached Ang Mo Kio around 5-plus in the morning, and we were feeling quite good cos it was quite an achievement, ya? But the funny thing is that, we were ONLY halfway through. Woodlands is at least 2 hours away(Amir would know, cos he walked from Bishan to Woodlands before). We didn't stopped walking throughout the journey, only sat down twice at 2 bus-stops in Yio Chu Kang. The 2nd time we sat down and rest, 969 came along. I bet it was the first bus from Tampines Interchange! Time was 6.05am so. So we boarded the bus straight back to Woodlands, giving our very tired legs a good rest. It was given more rest when I reached home and had a good sleep later on. We should do stuffs like these more often! XD

Nightwish's last few albums, in my opinion, hadn't been good. In fact, I don't like their latest album one bit. If it's anything, it's a sign of them declining. And just only, something happened. It seemed that there's conflict in the band, and this has been going on for quite some time. But all is revealed now, on their site. Tarja Turunen has been EXPELLED from Nightwish! Here is the open letter, written on their site:

Dear Tarja,

It's time to choose whether the story of Nightwish ends here or whether it will still continue an undetermined period of time. We`ve been working with this creation for 9 years and we are not ready to give up yet. Nightwish is a way of life, something to live for, and we`re certain we can't let it go.

Equally certain is the fact that we cannot go on with you and Marcelo any longer. During the last year something sad happened, which I've been going over in my head every single day, morning and night. Your attitude and behavior don`t go with Nightwish anymore. There are characteristics I would never have believed to see in my old dear friend.
People who don't talk with each other for a year do not belong in the same band.

We are involved in an industry where the business-side of things is a necessary evil and something to worry about all the time. We are also a band which has always done music from the heart, because of friendship and the music itself. The mental satisfaction should always be more important than money! Nightwish is a band, it`s an emotion. To you, unfortunately, business, money, and things that have nothing to do with those emotions have become much more important. You feel that you have sacrificed yourself and your musical career for Nightwish, rather than thinking what it has given to you. This attitude was clearly shown to me in the two things you said to me in an airplane in Toronto: "I don`t need Nightwish anymore." and "Remember, Tuomas, that I could leave this band at any time, giving you only one day`s warning in advance".I can't simply write any more songs for you to sing.

You have said yourself that you are merely a "guest musician" in Nightwish. Now that visit ends and we will continue Nightwish with a new female vocalist.
We`re sure this is an equally big relief to you as it is for us. We have all been feeling bad long enough.

You told us that no matter what, the next Nightwish album will be your last one. However, the rest of us want to continue as long as the fire burns. So there`s no sense in doing that next album with you, either.
The four of us have been going over this situation countless times and we have realized that this is the thing we want to do in life. It´s all we can do. In December 2004, in Germany, you said that you will never tour again for more than two weeks at a time. You also said that we can forget about U.S. and Australia because the fees and the sizes of venues are too small.

In interviews I`ve mentioned that if Tarja leaves, that would be the end of the band. I understand that people will think this way. Nightwish is, however, a scenery of my soul and I`m not ready to let go because of one person. A person who wants to focus her creativity to somewhere else, a person whose values don't match mine.

We were never bothered by the fact that you didn't participate in writing/arranging songs, you never in 9 years came to rehearse the songs with us before going to the studio. Not the fact that while on tour you always wanted to fly, separately from us with your husband. Not the fact that you are an undisputable front image of the band.We accepted and felt ok about everything except greed, underestimating the fans, and breaking promises. It was agreed by the five of us that Nightwish would be the priority in everything that we do during 2004-2005. Still so many things were more important to you. The ultimate example being the already sold-out show in Oslo, which you wanted to cancel because you needed to rehearse for your solo concerts, meet frieds and go to the movies. Those were the words Marcelo used in an e-mail explaining the cancellation. This being just one example of so many. I couldn`t think of a worse way of being selfish and dismissing our fans.

Nightwish is a way of life and a job with many obligations. To each other and to the fans. With you we can`t take care of those duties anymore.

Deep within we don't know which one of you drove us to this point. Somehow Marcelo has changed you from the lovely girl you were into a diva, who doesn`t think or act the way she used to. You are too sure of your irreplaceableness and status.

It`s obvious that you blame your stress and misery on us four. And you think we don`t respect or listen to you. Belive us; We have always had the uppermost respect towards you as a wonderful vocalist and as a friend. And very often during the past couple of years the plans were made according to your decisions only. You were always the only one who wanted more money from the shows. This "compensation and more money from everything" –attitude is the fact that we are most disappointed of!

We wish that from now on you will listen to your heart instead of Marcelo. Cultural differences combined with greed, opportunism and love is a dangerous combination. Do not wither yourself.

This decision is not something we are especially proud of but you gave us no choice. The gap between us is too wide. And the decision is made by us four unanimously. We are beyond the point where things could be settled by talking.

All the best for your life and career,

Tuomas

Emppu Jukka Marco

Ps. This is an open letter for everybody.

How terribly sad... Sad news for power metal fans from all over the world. Even though the other 4 members will continue on, in my eyes, they'll no longer be Nightwish. Tarja not in Nightwish, is like a missing tomato in a vegetable salad. Yeah, change of line-ups in a band is not uncommon, but this is different. Tarja had been there since the very beginning, for 9 years! See what happened to GnR when there's no Axl and Slash?

So after breaking fast just now, I had a terrible stomach ache. Really terrible! Not only the ache, but it felt like as if the contents can't fit already and it needs to be released. Therefore, release was what it got, and relief was what I got. I tell ya, the speed in which the shit was released, was in at an awesome speed! It can be likened to Greg's vomitting in the bedroom during the recent chalet. Too fast, man! Too hot to handle! After all these, besides relief, I also received an empty stomach. I felt hungry again, but I just have no mood to eat, sadly... :(

And so, while blogging this, Graydon messaged me on MSN, telling me that Amanda is on Channel U now. It's a gameshow or something. LOL! Izwan appeared on an episode of Phua Chu Kang last time too. Not bad. People I know have been appearing on tv. Maybe next time, we'll see Yogen rapping on tv. Or maybe Joseph and gang doing Singapore's version of Jackass. Maman joining Suria's Anugerah? Or even have Singh starring as some hero in a new serial!!! Hey, it could happen! You'll never know! But I think, Singh's more prone to being a victim of a prank call than being a movie star. LMAO! Fear the Turbanator!!!............ Oh wait, he doesn't have a turban now! :P
